Introduction

Premier Support Services was appointed to carry out specialist external works at the Ibis Hotel on Fletcher’s Gate, Nottingham. The client required a practical solution to manage rainfall above external windows, with the works needing to be completed safely in a challenging access environment while minimising disruption to hotel operations.

Our Solution

Premier assessed the access restrictions and determined that traditional access methods were not suitable for this location. To deliver the works safely and efficiently, a specialist rope access team was deployed.

Highly trained operatives used abseil access techniques to install a rain deflection system above the windows, allowing precise installation at height without the need for scaffolding or intrusive access equipment. All works were planned and delivered in full compliance with health and safety requirements.

We Delivered

Premier successfully installed the rain deflection system using specialist access methods, ensuring a high‑quality finish while maintaining safety and operational continuity. The use of rope access eliminated the need for scaffolding, reduced disruption to the hotel environment and enabled the works to be completed efficiently.

The Impact

The completed works have improved protection against rainwater affecting the building façade and windows, delivering a long‑term solution for the client. The project demonstrates Premier Support Services’ capability to deliver complex external building works using specialist access techniques, providing safe, effective and minimally disruptive solutions where conventional approaches are not practical.
