A much-loved Birmingham bakery has found a new home – and a bigger oven – in Stirchley.
After outgrowing its original site in Kings Heath, Levain and Cherry has reopened at 1257 Pershore Road. The move brings more space, new menu items, and a fresh interior designed and delivered by Premier Support Services.

A Bigger Space for a Growing Favourite

Founded by French chef-turned-baker Pascal during lockdown, Levain and Cherry quickly built a loyal following for its sourdough loaves, viennoiserie, and inventive specials. What started with a small bread oven and some local deliveries has grown into one of Birmingham’s favourite independent bakeries.

“The shop in Kings Heath was great, but we simply ran out of space,” Pascal explains. “We needed more room for prep, a bigger oven, and somewhere that could support the way we work now.”

The new site in Stirchley ticks every box – with help from Premier’s building services team.

Fit-Out Designed Around the Bakery Flow

Pascal had a clear vision: a warm, open-plan layout that allowed customers to see the baking process and feel part of the experience. We helped bring that vision to life.

Our works included:

  • Internal refurbishment with durable, high-spec finishes
  • Upgraded electrics and plumbing to support commercial kitchen equipment
  • Practical back-of-house storage and prep areas
  • Clean, simple front-of-house design with natural light and visual warmth

“Ed Earl from Premier was fantastic to work with,” Pascal says. “He took a lot of pressure off my shoulders and made the process straightforward. Running a business on your own can be tough – having a reliable fit-out team makes all the difference.”

Pastries, Savouries, and New Specials

The new location means more elbow room in the kitchen – and more on the menu.

While you’ll still find the classic buttery croissants, sourdoughs, and pain au chocolat, Pascal has expanded the range with creative savoury pastries like Jalapeño & Goat’s Cheese, Ham & Cheese brioche buns, and Marmite & Cheddar croissants. Vegan options are available, and the coffee setup has had an upgrade too.

“There’s a great mix of places popping up in Stirchley,” Pascal adds. “We’re really proud to be part of it.”
